Anyway, while I’m on the computer typing this post out, I’d like to review a software I have been using for quite sometime. I have been involved in Church database administration and I always wanted one for myself so I can use that to maintain records of people I meet and for my Church back in India. So I researched a few and decide to try out one called Ascribe. They named it after a verse from the Bible. Anyway, this software is very good and I can tell you with confidence that it will work really well for a small to large Church. It’s simple to use and navigate and plus it has so many features that a Church database should have. It’s probably the best available and I highly recommend it. I wanted features such individual notes for members, prayer requests, easy to search features, cell group features etc which are all included in this software. For a beginner this would be quite easy to use too and fast as well. My Church and ministry will be using this software till it reaches a point I need a completely custom database suited perfectly for my ministry. Well, that would probably take ages and a lot of money. Till then Ascribe will be my partner. So yea, if you are searching for a Church database, try this one out.

I remember Pastor Russel talking about being planted at Church and that we could easily be distracted if we don’t stay connected to God. So I will continue serving at Planetshakers whilst also visiting other ministries just to see how they work. I like observing and learning from what others do. I’ll also be fighting (friendly) with God for my Mum’s healing. Gotta go now.

“But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;” Rom 3:21-24 NASB

Righteousness through faith in Jesus is not earned. It is a gift from God to you and me because God knows that we can never be perfect no matter what. He says “There is no-one righteous, not even one”. Observing the laws of Moses has never helped us. It only made us conscious about sins. For this reason, Jesus took our place and put himself through shame and suffering so that we live the life God wants us to live. A life of trust and obedience to God. As children of God, Jesus gave us orders to go into the world and preach this message packed with the power of God for salvation, to all creation so that everyone who believes will also receive this same gift. Let the name of Jesus reach all corners of the world and let us do it with joy, boldness and humility.

Many a times, I say that I have the faith to see miracles happening but the truth is that I have faith to the extend that I know that it is possible. I wondered where I went wrong with my faith or if my faith was not enough to see miracles come to pass. As I read the above verses from the Bible, I realized my faith was actually in my own abilities to make the miracle happen. I don’t have faith when the thing seems completely impossible. This faith is not the faith Jesus was talking about. He talks about a faith that sees God doing the miracle. The rich man cannot enter the kingdom of heaven by himself but he can do that with God’s help. There is nothing impossible for God according to Jeremiah 32:27.

Paul calls himself the least of all apostles because he actually knew that it wasn’t his efforts which brought miracles. All things were possible because of God who worked in him and through him. The realization that you cannot do anything without God brings about humility in you. Jesus asks the rich man in Mark 10:18 – “Why do you call me good?” and He says that “No-one is good, except God alone”. Let us put our faith in God (NOT in ourselves) and be obedient to His calling. God will enable us to see supernatural miracles happen in our lives.
